General Information
Fees, Insurance, and Payment: I’m an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance. If you have a PPO plan, I can offer you superbills to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance company prior to our first session and explore whether you have outpatient mental health coverage and what percentage of your bill will be covered for services by an out-of-network provider.
I offer a limited availability for sliding scale, which means session fees can be adjusted based on income and financial circumstances to help make therapy more affordable.
Individual session: $180 per 50-minute session
Conjoint session: $220 per 75-minute session
Payment: Payment must be made in full at the time of service. All major credit cards are accepted as forms of payment.
Cancellation Policy: If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel 24-hours beforehand. Otherwise there will be a late cancellation fee charged.
What is therapy?
Therapy is a professional service where people can talk through challenges with a licensed clinician in a safe, confidential environment. It helps individuals better understand themselves, manage difficult emotions, and develop practical tools to navigate life more effectively.
My goal is to create a safe place for clients to process and navigate challenges they are experiencing to improve overall well-being, develop coping strategies and address specific challenges such as stress, anxiety, relationship issues, or life transitions.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy isn’t necessarily a match for everyone. It can be helpful if you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck or wanting to better understand yourself and underlying patterns which you have not come to surface – this could be a helpful first step.
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
Finding a therapist that is a good fit is both difficult and crucial to find. It is important to develop trust, safety, and connection. Finding the right therapist is a lot like finding the right working relationship. During our first few sessions, we’re both getting a sense of whether we’re a good fit. You might ask yourself questions like: Do I feel comfortable talking with this therapist? Do I feel heard, respected, and understood? Do I feel hopeful about working together?
A good therapeutic fit doesn’t mean we’ll always agree or that therapy will always feel easy. It means we have a relationship built on trust, collaboration, and a shared understanding of your goals, so we can work effectively together.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, I do not currently accept insurance. I am more than happy to provide clients superbills to seek reimbursement from their insurance company.
How do I get started?
You can contact me via email or phone to schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation. In our phone consultation we have the opportunity to briefly discuss your needs, get to know one another, and see if I am the right fit for you.
What if I don’t know what to talk about in therapy?
You don’t need a clear agenda or perfectly articulated concerns to begin therapy. Many people start simply knowing that something feels heavy, stuck, or off in their lives. We’ll figure out the direction together.
What if I’m just feeling overwhelmed but don’t have a specific issue?
You don’t need to have a specific issue to begin therapy. Therapy is a nonjudgemental space in which you are welcome to express your thoughts and feelings and process your experience of overwhelm with your therapist. Your therapist will collaborate with you in identifying patterns and unhelpful strategies which are contributing to stress and assist in coping strategies and helpful behaviors to improve mood and wellbeing.
What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help?
That isn’t uncommon. Finding the right fit with your therapist is important as well as finding the right pace can make a significant difference.
What happens in the first session?
We’ll talk about what brings you in, what feels important, and what you’re hoping for. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out.
