Anxiety, Adjustments & Life Transitions
At different points in life, it’s common to feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain especially during times of transition. Whether you’re navigating changes in relationships, career, education, or family roles, these experiences can bring up anxiety, self-doubt, and a sense of instability. These moments can be fleeting or can remain for some time.
Together, we’ll create space to better understand these challenges, explore patterns that may be contributing to distress, and develop practical, supportive ways to manage anxiety. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and able to move through life’s changes with greater clarity and resilience.
Caregiver Stress & Burnout
Caring for others can be deeply meaningful, but it can also be exhausting and overwhelming. Many caregivers find themselves balancing multiple responsibilities while feeling emotionally and physically depleted, often putting their own needs aside.
Therapy offers a space to focus on you, your experiences, your needs, and your well-being. Together, we can explore the impact of caregiving on your life, strengthen boundaries, and develop sustainable ways to care for yourself while continuing to support others.
Chronic Illness & Health-Related Challenges
Living with chronic illness and health-related stressors can affect far more than physical health, it can impact your emotional well-being, sense of identity, relationships, and daily life. You may find yourself navigating uncertainty, grief, frustration, or feeling misunderstood by others.
In our work together, there is space to process these experiences openly and without judgment. I aim to support you in making sense of these challenges, building coping strategies, and finding ways to stay connected to yourself and what matters most to you.
Cultural Stressors
Navigating different cultural identities and expectations can be both enhancing and challenging. You may find yourself balancing family values, traditions, and personal identity, sometimes feeling pulled in different directions.
Our work together will create space to explore these experiences with curiosity and care, acknowledging both the strengths and the complexities that come with them. The goal is to support you in developing a sense of self that feels authentic, grounded, and connected to what matters most to you.
Familial and Relational Stressors
Recognizing the complexities of family relationships, changing family roles, caregiving responsibilities, and intergenerational or cultural expectations. We are able to create space for difficult emotions that may arise when balancing your own needs with the needs of others, managing conflict, or feeling caught between competing responsibilities.
Working together, we are able to explore the impact these experiences have had on your emotional wellbeing while building tools to strengthen communication, establish healthy boundaries, and cultivate relationships that feel more fulfilling.
Medical Trauma
Unpacking the impact of medical trauma and difficulties health-related experiences have placed on your life. Creating space for feelings of fear, vulnerability, uncertainty, grief, loss, and the ongoing emotional impact of living with a body that may feel unpredictable or unsafe.
Together we can explore the effect these experiences have had on your relationship with your body, healthcare, and daily life while building tools to increase safety, self-trust, and re-engagement in living your life.
Stress Management
Stress is a natural part of life, but when it becomes constant or overwhelming, it can affect how you think, feel, and function day to day. Even positive life events like starting a new job, moving, or growing your family can bring unexpected stress alongside excitement.
In therapy, we’ll work to better understand your unique stress responses and identify patterns that may be contributing to feeling overwhelmed. From there, we can build practical tools and strategies to help you feel more balanced, regulated, and able to navigate life’s demands with greater ease.
Who I Work With
My practice offers individual therapy for adults (18+) and older adults (65+), with a focus on creating a thoughtful, collaborative, and individualized therapeutic experience. When beneficial to the work, I also provide collateral and conjoint sessions, inviting significant others or family members into the therapeutic process when their involvement can meaningfully support a client’s goals and well-being.
How I Work
Collaborative Care
Therapy is sometimes most effective when care is thoughtfully coordinated with other professionals involved in your well-being. When clinically appropriate and supportive of your treatment goals, I may collaborate with members of your healthcare team, such as physicians, psychiatrists, or other treating providers.
With your written authorization, or Release of Information (ROI), communication may be used to facilitate continuity of care, share relevant clinical information, and support a more coordinated approach to your treatment. Any collaboration is considered on an individual basis and is guided by your needs, preferences, privacy, and therapeutic goals.
